For some years now I have been visiting local venues to see musical acts that I know.
Last Sunday for instance I was at the Royal Tavern, Blyth, to see the Steve Dagget Trio.
Steve is a former member of the legendary Lindisfarne, and performs with Michael and Rachael Bailey as the Steve Daggett Acoustic Trio
They will be having a break for a few months (Rachael is expecting child number 2) but Steve will no doubt be performing on his own around the area
Details are on http://www.stevedaggett.co.uk/
Another musician that I go to see as often as possible is Tom Mitchell. He's only a young bloke, but he has a great voice and he plays guitar and keyboards (although not together, usually)
His website is http://www.tommitchellmusic.co.uk/
He'll be performing at:-
The Kings Arms at Seaton Sluice on 12th June,
Porter's Coffee House (Tynemouth Station ) on 1st July (Sold Out) and 2nd July
Royal Tavern, Blyth on 10th July
and Seaton Delaval Arts Centre, Seaton Delaval on 10th September
If you get the chance to see him, take it , he's brilliant live!
And buy his CD, it's excellent value and there are some very famous guest musicians!
