" Iva ! "

Tomorrow, Saturday 28th May, the people of Malta vote to legalise divorce.

I have been going to Malta for many years now, and I have taken an interest in the way of life, the people, the history and even the food and the football.

But, even though we are in the 21st Century, there is no divorce.

I fully appreciate that religion, especially Roman Catholocism is strong in the islands, but feel that mankind has moved on, and divorce must be a choice for those whose marriage has failed (for whatever reason)

The way the "No " campaign is going, you'd think that divorce was being made compulsory. Hopefully the new law, if instituted, will affect only a few, but will allow those who want a divorce to move on and continue with their lives.

So I will be watching the outcome with interest .

Vote "Iva "
